Fall!

So, here are our real school pictures. We didn't order the ones from the school. But my last blog title had to deal with school pictures, so I named this one Fall instead! Ellen Thompson did our photos again this year. She does such a good job! It is just Livi and I and we took a lot. Here are a few.

School Picture Day

Oh the joys of high school picture day! Here's how it went yesterday.

Picture Guy: "Line up tallest to shortest. Make it quick. You sir, back row. You three right up there too. Ma'am, row 2. You, you, and you, by her. The rest of you, front row. O.K. slide over just a touch, hands behind your back, feet together, looking right at me..." (Breath)

Flash, A blinding light.

P.G.: 2 more. Stay right there. (flash, flash) Packets here, tickets here. Next! Alright, sit there, hands in lap, feet right there, turn your head a tiny... (Breath)

Homecoming '09!!!

This week was Homecoming, and what a homecoming it was! It was a lot of fun! We of course had dress up days. Two of my favorite were inside-out and backwards day, and hero day. Livi wasn't so into dressing up as I was, but here is my best costume... Inside-out and Backwards Day.

As always the bonfire and pep-rally were a BLAST!!! We had so much fun! Here are some pictures of that...

My sister and I, both wearing #10... hers on purpose, mine on accident.Livi went on her Homecoming Date with Beau Petersen, hence the #10 jersey. My superfan jersey just happened to be #10. While I was cookin' up our hamburgers at the Pot-Luck Supper, Beau said, "hey, nice number." I looked, and realized, both Olivia and I were wearing his number... What a coincidence.

After the bonfire, there were the class yells and the doughnuts. Then whatever coaches weren't at the bonfire to give their speeches, would come out and pep us up some more. Here are some of those pictures.

Now more about Olivia!!

Olivia's Sweet orange shoes! Only thing she bought for her outfit! Funny story, Kimball was here the night of the dance, and Livi was out in the living room, and she was standing there. Kimball saw the shoes and pretty much face-planted on them. He wanted a taste of the shoes. Livi wouldn't let him taste them, so he sat up and got a pouty face... It was so sad, but so cute! What a cutie!!

Homecoming was a fun time for Everyone this year! Taffy came and spoke at the program and she did a great job. It was a special treat! Go Panthers!!

SCHOOL!!!

School started this week... and yes I am a little afraid to say that I am excited!  It just reassures the world that I am a little weird.  But I really don't mind school.  It gives my life a balance and a schedule.  It gets me out of bed in the morning and puts me to sleep at night!  It's a great life.  With school comes sports and friends, so what's there to complain about?  Yes by the time summer comes back around I am sure I will be ready for that, but for now, I am excited for school.  We have a tradition at our house to model school clothes!  So much fun!  I got 3 new items and I love them all.  Livi got like 5 I think.  They are really cute!  And also on the first day of school, we take a picture.  It was a little weird not to have Sulli cookin' up grease to some Jack Johnson on Monday morning, but he is doing great in college!  We love and miss him!  We are ready for a new year of school!  

Ready for school!  I am really excited for my classes.  Notice I have my scriptures ready for Seminary and my trumpet ready for Band!  I love those classes!  I like all my classes.  School is just gonna be great!  Yeah for education!  

Tour de Clyda

Today, ladies and gentlemen, we will be taking the "Tour de Clyda."  But instead of 21 stages, like the "Tour de France",  there are only 5.  So please enjoy our tour.  (For your own safety, do not touch, or you might suffer the wrath!  kidding!!)

Alright people, please allow me to show you our first attraction: The Garden.  In my mom's lovely garden we have growing: peas, potatoes, broccoli, lettuce, carrots, corn, raspberries, and strawberries.  It will be very yummy when we harvest it and eat it! Take your time looking, but please do not damage the hardware.     

Ok, our next stage in the "Tour de Clyda" is: The Greenhouse!  This is where all the flowers start and where all the tomatoes end.  Also, please notice the beautiful flowers all around. Mom works hard to keep them alive and beautiful.  We don't have an "in greenhouse tour," but you can sorta' see how big the tomatoes are inside. Alright, moving on quickly...   

To: The Backyard.  Our backyard is beautiful here on the "Tour de Clyda."  The back flower bed is arranged spectacularly with all colors and varieties.  The lawn is always green and the sunflowers are TALL!    
Now we will turn to our right and go to the side lawn.  Please follow me.  First we have this cute little island with our pig and cow.  This bed is pretty much filled with the same things every year.  It is sporadic but I love it.     

This next attraction is my very favorite.  Honestly I think it is the best looking part of our whole yard.  It is the side yard.  The flower bed receives extra care.  Extra dead heading and water.  Please notice as we pass, the rocks behind the flowers.  A nice addition to the tour, don't you think?  Also, I think the boys would appreciate it if you took notice of the GREAT siding job they did.  That is the side yard. 

I will now highlight the flower that I especially like here on the tour.  I don't know the name of it, but I wish it was fake so I could give all of you one as a souvenir.  It is showcased in the side flower bed (last stage).  

O.K. you think that our tour is over?  Well, it kind of is.  To see the main, BEST, part of the tour you have to experience it for yourself.  We haven't found out how to capture the beauty of it all yet. This stage would be the love and fun we have together as a family at our own home. When we are together, you can't pass that up.  Whether we're working together, eating together, or playing together, you can feel the love.  That is the most Wonderful part of the tour.

BYU!!!

Okay, so Tessa went to a BYU basketball camp a couple of weeks ago, and I was pretty sure she'd blog about it, but she did so good I think she didn't want to get on here and brag about herself the whole time, so with a suggestion from my sister Taffy, and me actually wanting to do it, I'm going to do a blog about all of the fun stuff Tessa has told me about her BYU trip!  

This is Tessa with all of her prizes from winning so many of the games at camp.  First she got the award of Cougar of the day.  She got a car sticker (not pictured) from that.  Then she won lighting and got another sticker and her sweatband.  Even more impressive than those two is her 3 on 3 team and her 5 on 5 team both won the tournaments in her gym.  For that she got that awesome shirt, and a pair of socks.  The best of all was that Tessa was the MVP!!  For that she got the awesome shorts(which I have threatened to steal many times), her waterbottle, those socks she's wearing, and the flat basketball in her arms...don't worry, we pumped it up.  Then just for going to the camp she got her awesome bag and another shirt.  So, as you can see, her writing this blog might have sounded a little conceited, but what else could she write about herself but good?  Oh, and another one of her favorite things about the week was a food pass to the Cannon Center, BYU's cafeteria.  She said if she goes there to school she'll probably gain the freshman 30, not just 15.  Anyway, Tessa did great and had a super fun week living her dream at BYU.

Girls Camp and 4th of July

This last week was crazy full!!  I loved it... Tons of people all the time.  It was great!  On Tuesday we went up to Girls Camp at the beautiful Camp Ho-Nok.  It was so much fun!  We had a lot of time to just sit and hang out with the girls.  I made some new friends and my other friends and I got closer.  The skits were hilarious as always!  The theme of the whole girls camp was Temples. It was a great theme.  I felt the spirit a lot up there.  My testimony was definitely strengthened while I was up there.  Each ward for devotional chose a temple and to theme there camp around. Cokeville 2nd Ward chose the Hong Kong temple.  It was a very fun week...

This Saturday was a lovely 4th of July!  We sold some T-Shirts for out class fund raiser.  (We still have some.  If you want one, call me).  The highlight of the day was a rib barbecue last night at Aunt Linda's.  Olivia also MCed the Little Miss Cokeville Pageant.  She did great.  In the Patriotic Program the choir sang.  Me and Mom are in the choir.  Also, I played a trumpet duet with Jonathan.  It was a great day!!
